Three steps, one crew, working from the ground up through to a finished, properly cured surface.

Prep the base
We grade and compact the ground and sort out drainage before a single form goes in, because everything above depends on what sits below.
- 02
Form and pour
Forms set the shape and the elevation, then the concrete goes in and gets worked to the surface you asked for.

Finish and cure
The surface gets its finish, then it's cured properly so it reaches full strength instead of curing too fast and cracking.

Durable exterior concrete in Ontario is measurable: a stable base, freeze-thaw mix, planned joints, and protected curing all matter as much as the finish.

Compacted driveway base
Driveways, patios, and walkways start with excavation, stable granular material, and controlled compaction so the slab is supported evenly instead of bridging soft areas.

CSA C-2 exterior concrete
For exterior flatwork exposed to freezing and de-icing salts, CSA A23.1 Class C-2 calls for 32 MPa concrete, a low water-cement ratio, and air entrainment.

Concrete control joints
Concrete shrinks as it dries. Contraction joints are laid out before the pour and cut to the required depth soon enough to direct cracking into planned lines.

Seven-day curing protected
CSA guidance calls for exterior flatwork curing to begin after finishing and continue for at least seven days, with moisture and temperature controlled during early strength gain.

Surface drainage set in forms
Finished elevations and slopes are established before the pour so water moves away from the house and avoids low spots. Garage, walkway, step, and drain transitions are resolved in the forms.

Finish matched to the use
Broom texture adds traction to driveways and walkways, while smooth or decorative finishes suit other applications. Finishing is timed to avoid weakening or overworking the surface.

What concrete work do you do?
Driveways, patios, walkways, steps, and retaining walls, plus the flatwork and formed pours that go with a full exterior. We handle the base prep and drainage as part of the job.
Why does the base matter so much?
A compacted, well-drained base is what keeps concrete from settling unevenly and cracking. Most concrete that fails early fails from the ground up, not the surface down, so we spend the time there.
How is drainage handled?
We plan the grade and the surface slope so water runs off the concrete and away from the house and foundation rather than pooling or working underneath.
How long before I can use it?
Foot traffic is usually fine within a day or two, and light vehicle use after about a week. Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after the pour, and cold or wet GTA weather can stretch that timeline.
